John E Turner's new book “Hurrah for the Squares Entwined“ the first 50 years of the Blackheath Harriers’ Gazette, Is now available. With extracts selected by John and a beautiful cover design and the book layout by Peter Rogers, it will be a must for Christmas.

At the last Management Meeting it was decided to cancel or Postpone the Club 10 on the 29 November and the Orion Mob Match on the 6 December. Also it is extremely unlikely that any National, Area, League and Relay races will be held before Christmas. Christmas Handicap who knows ? Things may change by then! Provisional Winter Fixtures

Virtual Club 5 mile Cross Country
We are holding a Virtual Club 5 Mile Cross Country race & handicap event for club members and guests due to the restrictions on live cross country races taking place.
Participants can run any 5 mile course, provided a significant majority of it is off-road/trail and that it has a minimum elevation gain of 200ft. You may wish to run the 'old' or 'new' club 5 courses themselves!
Please submit a Strava/Garmin screenshot of your run, along with your name, gender, age category and whether you are a club member, to .
We are also looking to offer a 'spot' prize for the fastest climb of the infamous Fox Hill (from the junction at the bottom to the Fox pub at the top), so you may wish to incorporate this into your route. Deadline for entries is 17:00 on Sunday 13 December. Please email  if you have any questions.


Wednesday Nighters Lockdown Challenge #WNLC for 19 November - 25 November

Hope you all completed last weeks The 11/11 Remembrance Run? To keep us all inspired, motivated and running a Blackheath & Bromley Harriers weekly challenge will be provided. You should aim to SAFELY complete this task before 9 p.m. each Wednesday. Feel free to share your run or time. 


This weeks #WNLC: The Safari Run. To complete this challenge you must keep your eyes open on your run and spot wild animals or images of animals. Look for animals on signs, posters, statues etc.

The latest Gazette Winter 2018-19

Is a weekly 5k that takes place in Norman Park on Saturday mornings at 09:00. You need to register via their website (free) then just turn up and run/jog the same course, for free, every Saturday! Any age group from 4 years and up. Furthermore, on Sunday mornings also in Norman Park, at 9am, there’s Bromley junior parkrun for 4-14 year olds.

Our Junior Girls were 3rd & Junior Boys 2nd at the European Junior Clubs Cups Final, 21 September 2019 23-09-19

At the end of the 2019 T&F Leagues:
The Female Masters team finished 4th in the Kent Division 1 and stay there for 2020
The Male Masters team win the Kent Division 2 and are promoted back to Division 1 for next year
U13 and U15 boys and girls
won the Kent YA League again: 1st in their league in the UKYDL & 2nd in National Final
U17 and U20 boys and girls
are top of their league in the UKYDL & 1st in the National Final
The Senior Men finish 7th in the Premier division
