VP Gordon Hickey passed away after a short illness on Tuesday 6 December aged 83. He joined Blackheath over 60 years ago.

A service will take place at 12:30 on Tuesday 20 December at Kemnal Park Cemetery, Sidcup By-Pass, Chislehurst BR7 6RR. The wake will be held at the Clubhouse afterwards. Family flowers only please. 6-12-16

VP Jack Braughton died on Sunday, 30 October, aged 95. Jack was an Olympian in 1948.

The funeral will take place at Eltham Crematorium, Crown Woods Way, London. SE9 2AZ on Tuesday 13 December 2016 at 11.00am in the Chapel. The Wake will take place at The Harvester Pub named The Falcon Public House located in Lingfield Crescent, London SE9 2RN which is opposite Falcon Wood Railway Station.

Please let Grahame know if you will be attending - 01322 400803  the Wake so that suitable catering facilities are provided for this sad occasion. 

Any donations that are received will be split evenly between three charities chosen by Jack which are: Parkinsons Disease, Diabetes UK and The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Charity 23-11-16

One particular area that young athletes and their parents must be aware of is the risk of cardiac problems. Full information about CRY and their services can be found on their website at www.c-r-y.org.uk . Young people between the age of 14 and 35 who would like to have cardiac testing can go to www.testmyheart.org  You can also see www.uka.org.uk/governance/health-safety/cardiac-screening-for-athletes/  for information on work being done by UKA in this area. 3-05-12

250 Club presents £2000 to help send our Junior Girls to the European Junior Clubs Cup Final in Brno, Czech Rep.

At the Club on Wednesday 4 September 2013, Tony Pontifex, the 250 Club Promoter, presented the President with a cheque for £2000 to help send our junior girls to compete in the European Clubs Cups Final in Brno, Czech Rep. He also gave another £500 towards the cost of the Polo Shirts. Presenting the cheques, Tony thanked the members for their continued support, wished them luck in the future and said that if anyone would like to subscribe to the 250 Club to please contact him on apontifex@hotmail.com  or on 07963738452. 5-09-13

Organised by Bromley MyTime and is a weekly 5k that takes place in Norman Park on Saturday mornings at 09:00. You need to register via their website (free) then just turn up and run/jog the same course, for free, every Saturday! Any age group. 13-09-09



Our Junior Girls took 2nd place at the European Junior Clubs Cups Final in Castellon, Spain, 17 September 2016

At the end of the 2016 T&F Leagues:
The Senior Women finished 1st in the UK Women's League Div 1 and are promoted to the Premier Division one next year
The Senior Men finish 3rd in Division One of the British League and stay in that division for next year
The Female Masters team finished 2nd in the Kent Division and are into the Area Final
The Male Masters team were 6th in the Kent Division 1 and are relegated to Division 2
U13 and U15 boys and girls
won the Kent YA League again, and were second in the in the UKYDL and 3rd in the National Final
U17 and U20 boys and girls are top of their league in the UKYDL & WON the National Final
