Deniz Mehmed has set up a Facebook page to keep people informed about the different groups that meet and run at Blackheath & Bromley Harriers HQ on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.

England Athletics, UKA and the other home country governing bodies are alert to our responsibilities to all participants in athletics in respect of all aspects of health and safety. One particular area that young athletes and their parents must be aware of is the risk of cardiac problems. Full information about CRY and their services can be found on their website at www.c-r-y.org.uk . Young people between the age of 14 and 35 who would like to have cardiac testing can go to www.testmyheart.org  You can also see www.uka.org.uk/governance/health-safety/cardiac-screening-for-athletes/  for information on work being done by UKA in this area. 3-05-12

Shopping Online? Raise some funds for Blackheath & Bromley whilst doing so!
easyfundraising.org.uk is a great way to raise money for charities, schools, sports clubs, community groups, and other good causes just by shopping online. You don’t pay anything extra. So far they’ve raised over £5 million for causes throughout the UK.
B&BHAC is registered with easyfundraising.org.uk and so far has raised around £500 without promoting this facility. This is voluntary, requires no fees and little effort in order to raise “free” money for the Club.
How does it work? When you do your online shopping and use a Retailer who participates in the scheme you will earn money for BBHAC for each purchase you make, typically between 0.75 & 2.5%! Check here for more details: - http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/how-it-works/  Many Many well-known Retailers participate. Examples are Next, Amazon, Boden, Game, Play.com, Tesco Direct -
