It is with great sadness that we
announce that VP Rob Brown died today (9 May) following
his battle with cancer. Rob join Blackheath in 1990 and
he was 72 years old today. He was made a Vice
President in 2007 and had been Membership Secretary for
many years and, until his illness, an active
vets/masters athlete.
VP Robert Brown’s funeral will be on
Monday 6 June at 11.30 at Worthing Crematorium,
Horsham Rd, Findon West Sussex BN14 0RG.
A reception
at Rob and Brenda’s house is planned afterwards –
address 41 Seafield Rd, Rustington, BN16 2JH. Further
details to follow re Flowers, donations etc. If you
could let me know if you plan to attend by 23 May

Is a
weekly 5k that takes place in Norman Park
on Saturday mornings at 09:00. You need to register via their website (free)
then just turn up and run/jog the same course, for free, every Saturday! Any
age group from 4 years and up.
Furthermore, on Sunday mornings also in Norman Park, at 9am, there’s Bromley
junior parkrun for 4-14 year olds. |
