OUR U/20 GIRLS SCOOPED THE FIRST PRIZE ON SATURDAY, A
CLEAR WIN ON A VERY THIN FIELD. SHAVAUN STRODE HOME IN 2ND POSITION, WITH EVE
AND ELLA HOT ON HER HEALS IN 5TH AND 6TH. RACHEL HAD A SUPERB RUN, HAVING NEVER
RUN THIS FAR BEFORE, SHE CAME IN 9TH PLACE AND QUALIFIED FOR THE INTER-COUNTIES,
AS DID THE OTHER GIRLS. WELL DONE TO ALL FOUR.

THE SENIOR WOMENS TEAM WERE OUT IN FORCE THIS WEEKEND WITH
VERY SUCCESSFUL RESULTS, 9 MEDALS AND 1 TROPHY! JENNIE WAS FIRST HOME IN 3RD
POSITION, A FULL 30 SECS AHEAD OF 4TH. MIRANDA HAD AN EXCELLENT RUN COMING IN
JUST BEHIND BELLA, WHO USED HER TRACK EXPERIENCE TO HER ADVANTAGE TO STRIDE PAST
MIRANDA IN THE LAST 400M. WITH 28 POINTS WE CAME 2ND IN THE 3 SCORE CATEGORY(
ONLY 1 POINT BEHIND INVICTA) FRAN WAS BACK ON FORM AGAIN AND CAME IN 17TH, ALL
FOUR QUALIFIED FOR THE INTER-COUNTIES. KATE RAN HARD TO COME IN 34TH, SWIFTLY
FOLLOWED BY ANNIE IN 36TH. WITH 115 POINTS WE CAME FIRST IN THE 6 SCORE EVENT
AND PROUDLY BROUGHT THE TROPHY HOME. CLARE CAME IN 40TH DESPITE 3 WEEKS OFF
TRAINING DUE TO ILLNESS, AND JUST BEHIND HER WAS ANNE COMPLETING OUR SQUAD OF 8.
WELL DONE TO EVERYONE. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND I LOOK
FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL AT PARLIAMENT HILL FOR THE SOUTHERNS.
