Alan Hardy - (4/9/58) Alan was a member of league and cup winning teams with Haringey in the 1980's (debut 1982) and now has five cup final appearances to his credit, two with Blackheath. He joined Blackheath in 1990 and set a PB of 4.50 two years later at 33. He describes Pole Vault as his rock and roll and is inspired by his hero's the Rolling Stones. Most of his speed work is done accompanied by his Border Collie, Poppy!
Dave Heath - Check the uk:athletics website.  A sub four minute miler in 1989 Dave has blossomed in the late 90's to become one of the country's leading middle distance runners. He was Britain's first finisher at both the 1999 and 2000 World Cross Country short course races. He is now a full time athlete. Coached by Alan Storey. Summer 2000 has seen Dave turn his attentions to the steeplechase where he clocked 8.42.04 to rank him 6th in the country. Other National Rankings 2000, Mile - 9th 4.01.06, 5000m - 19th 13.57.50.
Matt Hill - (15/12/82) Disc problems have restricted Matt's appearances for the Club in the last couple of seasons and have meant that he has had to call time on his cross country career. However, he still has track aspirations and expect to see him in action over 800 and 1500 during the summer months.
Andy Hodge - (18/12/68) A 2.10 high jumper at his best, work commitments have not allowed him to train to his peak in last couple of years. A good all rounder, he has also run 14.94 for the 110 hurdles. A former President of the Cambridge University Athletics Club.
Stephen Holmes - (17/10/80) Has been lying fallow for a year or so but is now back in full training at Brunel University under the watchful eye of his team captain Michael Skinner. A member of the Clubs Under 17 team who won the National Cross Country title in 1998. Also a talented 800 and 1500 metre runner.
Richard Holt - (28/11/71) Richard's athletics career is on hold at the moment because of viral problems. At his best he is a top class 400 metre hurdler who received a Club Honours award for reaching the final of the AAA's championships where he timed 52.11. A former captain of the Young Athletes team. Also a coach with a fast improving squad. Currently developing an athletics website.
Scott Jarred - (6/3/79) Another example of an athlete who may not have been a first choice in the younger age groups but who has flourished to become an important member of the British League squad. Main event is the 400 but he is not averse to putting in the odd appearance in the 400 hurdles or 200 and is always good for a leg in the 4x400.
Costas Karageorghis - (15/9/69) Dr Costas, as he is now, has been competing for the Club since his days as a Young Athlete. He has on occasion represented the British League team but can generally be seen in action in the Southern League where his main events are the sprints. This does not preclude the odd 400 relay leg or long jump, in fact anything to help the team. A talented keyboard player, his rousing version of "Rawhide" at his Clubhouse "gigs" are remembered by all who attended. Lecturer in Psychology at Brunel University and a dad.
Nigel Keogh - (18/7/67) Has competed in over 50 British League matches for the Club which is quite an achievement when there are only four in a season. Quite often seen running the 400 hurdles, 400 and 4x400 during the course of an afternoon, he was deservedly made a Vice President of the Club. Has also run under 2 minutes for 800, run 36 minutes for 10km and run in cross country mob matches. Nigel is a former Irish 400 hurdles champion. He is now in semi retirement but did make an appearance in the Gold Cup Final in 2000.
Akinola "Lash" Lashore - Lash is the British Universities 100 metre champion winning the title in 10.38 a personal best. Unfortunately he missed nearly two months of the season with injury although he did return to form part of the Clubs record breaking 4x100 team. Also a talented 200 metre runner who has clocked 20.99. He has been a valuable member of the Clubs National League team. Currently studying at Brunel University. National Ranking 2000, 100m - 14th 10.38.
Stephen Leach - (19/2/88) Talented under 13 middle distance runner who is a regular competitor over the road, cross country and track. He has also represented Kent at cross country. His mum, Julia is manager of the road and cross country teams. Stephen is a pupil at Langley Park School for Boys and is coached by Dave Liston.
Dave Lee - A Welsh international at the steeplechase with a best time of 8.31.2, Dave has also represented the Club at road and cross country. Anchored the National 12 Stage road relay team to victory in 1995. A qualified doctor. Current holder of the President's Steeplechase Challenge Trophy.
Joe Mills - Ranked 10th in the country at 1500 in 1999 with a time of 3.42.23, Joe has represented Wales on four occasions this season. Has a best time of 1.50.12 for 800. Was a member of the team who won the Southern Cross Country title and also a key member of the road relay teams. National Ranking 2000, 1500 - 21st 3.43.73.
Andrew Moreton - (4/8/82) Currently studying at Surrey University Andrew has proved to be a valued member of the cross country, road and track teams. While he is primarily a middle distance athlete this has not stopped him from filling in when there have been gaps in the field events.
David Moulton - (7/9/81) A talented 800 metre runner who made an impressive senior debut in the Gold Cup Final. David has a best of 1.53.9, a time which he would surely have bettered in the 2000 had he not been recovering from glandular fever. Also a useful 400 metre runner. Currently studying at Bath University.
