Below are brief details of some of the Club's top athletes. Only the Seniors and Juniors have been included at present. Apologies to anyone who is not featured who thinks they should be. Let us know and we can put you on.

Martin Airey - (28/10/70). Has given up working as a Meteorologist to take up teaching. A regular member of the British League team during the summer who also appears for the Road and Cross Country teams during the winter. Former student at Birmingham University and UEA. Trains at Ladywell. Pbs 800. 1.50.2. 1500. 3.48.0
Nina Akif - (20/9/88) Promising hurdler, long jumper and sprinter and also occasional race walker. Trains Norman Park. Coach Simon Tolson.
Sandra Alaneme - (7/1/86). Versatile athlete whose main event was the high jump. However she is now the current English Schools Intermediate Girls triple jump champion and represented England in the 200s Home Countries International in Glasgow. She holds the Club Under 20's and Under 17's records. In 2001 she was nationally ranked in the under 17, under 20 and senior age groups. She also holds the Club Under 17's shot put record. Ian Allerton - (18/4/85). Fast improving 400 metre runner. Ian made the National under 17 rankings in 2001 and looks set to make a similar impression in the under 20 age group. He has already competed for the Senior Men's team in the British League. St Olave's School. Trains Norman Park. Coach Ian Dibbins Pbs 400. 49.61. 200. 22.9.
Jamie Atkinson - (2/02/1984) Running career: 5 years, Pb's 800: 1:54, 1500: 3:47.49
Kent double 800m and 1500m champ 2006, South of England Champion 2006. Hopefully going to get on World
Performance Plan with a run of 3:43. 22-06-06
Jake Aust - (23/11/83). Has only been a member for a couple of years but has already competed for the Club's Young Athletes, Junior and British League teams. School. Bishop Challenor. Trains at Norman Park. Coach Steve Cluney. Pbs 400 hurdles 58.0
Mark Awanah - (23/9/82). Represented England in the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in the long jump. He is the AAA's Under 23 champion. Gained his first International vest in 2001 after finishing runner up in the AAA's under 20 championships. Picking up bronze in the long jump at the AAA's indoor championships in 2001. Also a talented multi eventer. Coach Guy Spencer. Pbs LJ. 7.70 TJ. 14.86.
Neil Ayrton - (11/2/62). Father of Dan and recent convert to Athletics. A former professional footballer with Portsmouth. Has started as a road and cross country runner but a 54.6 in his first race over 400 metres would suggest a fruitful track career beckons.
Jonathan Barbour - (3/11/80) Unfortunately has spent most of the 2002 season injured. Jonathan is the European Under 23 champion over 100 metres and AAA's Under 23 100 and 200 metre champion for the last two seasons. Represented Great Britain in the World Championships in Edmonton, Canada. Part of the Great Britain 4x100 metre team who won gold at the Goodwill Games in Australia in 2001. Coach Mike McFarlane. Bomene Barikor -(22/5/82) Top points scorer for the Junior team in 2001. Club U17 record holder for the high jump but is starting show ability as an all rounder. Has run a 49.9 split for the 4x400 as well as clocking useful sprint times. Could also be set to shine in the long jump. Trains Mile End. Pbs 100. 11.0. 200. 22.3. HJ. 2.03. LJ. 6.66.
Hazel Barker - (21/11/82) Currently taking a year out from her studies before going to the University of Cardiff. Competes in the full range of middle distance events from track to road and cross country. Also an occasional hammer thrower! Trains Norman Park. Coach Andy Frankish.
Pete Barlow - (29/4/56) Regular for the Club over cross country, road and track. Best races have come since he turned 40 when he has won a Southern Cross Country team bronze medal, won the Club 10, and represented the National 12 stage team. Just shows that age is all in the mind.
Paul Barrett - (15/6/86). Up and coming hammer thrower who is one of the Club's most consistent points scorers in the Young Athletes League. Won all B string events in 2001. Trains Norman Park. Coach Mike Davies.
Tom Beech - (5/9/87) Promising middle distance runner who represents the Club at cross country, road and track. Hayes School. Coach Dave Liston.
Katy Benneworth - (5/10/84) Multi talented athlete. Club record holder for the Under 20's and Under 17's long jump and a member of the Senior Women's 4x100 metres record breaking team. Also competes in the triple jump, hurdles and …. hammer. Pb. LJ. 5.80.
Russell Bentley - (28/4/81) Currently studying at Loughborough University. Runs anything from legs in the 4x400 and 800 up to cross country. His e-mail address gives a vivid description of his outside interests!.
Sam Bobb - (29/8/75) Has progressed from a reserve in the Young Athletes team to Under 23 International triple jumper. Studied at West London Institute. Currently working for the Sweatshirt but also a DJ - reasonable rates! Pbs Triple Jump 14.97.
William Bolton - (7/10/82 - 7/03/04) As a result of a tragic car accident Will was killed on 7 March 2004.  He was part of the Wednesday night coaching team for youngsters at Norman Park and an regular member of the Club's teams since he joined at the age of 10. He will be sorely missed. 17-03-04
Dwayne Bovell - (2/12/85) Under 17 sprinter who has already made an impression in the Club Junior team. Trains Ladywell. Coach Michelle Bovell. Pbs 100. 11.06w/11.2.
Sian Brice - (2/4/69) Sian has had a long and varied career as an athlete from competing for the Isle Of Man in the 1500 metres at the Commonwealth Games in 1986 to representing Great Britain in the Triathlon at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. She is an Oxford Blue at Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming. Pbs 1500. 4.24.76. Mile 4.53.1.
Siobhan Budd - ((23/10/75) Has just finished her studies at Greenwich University and is now a Landscape Architect. Also fluent in Spanish. A regular on the country, road and track. Trains Norman Park. Coach Andy Frankish. Pbs. 1500. 4.41. 3000. 10.11. SP 5.30ish!
Eve Bugler - (12/10/85) Another promising middle distance who is happy on track, road or cross country. Trains Norman Park. Coach Dave Liston.
Kate Bugler - (10/7/83) Second year student at Oxford University. Trains Norman Park. Coach Andy Frankish.
Liam Bulson - (14/1/72)Former student at Manchester University and Dulwich College. Back injuries have affected him in recent years but when fit is a valuable member of the cross country, road and track teams. Has won team gold medals at the Southern Cross Country and 12 stage Road Relays.
Jennie Butler - (11/5/73) Another who took up running in her twenties. Currently teaching English as a foreign language before returning to University to take a teaching qualification. Has won the George Cluney trophy for performance and example during the winter season for the last three years. Trains Norman Park. Coach Dave Liston. Pb 1500 4.54. 3000. 10.14.
Paul Byfield - (17/9/68) A Club Vice President. A former Young Athletes team captain and now Manager of the Southern League Division Four team. His main event is the 400 metres but he will have a go at most events including the odd cross country race.
Rory Byrne - (5/4/74) Middle distance runner who has represented the First team on the road, track and cross country. Trains Sutcliffe Park.
