As expected at Parliament Hill the ground was good and
soggy by the time the seniors got on the field. But thanks to lots of sunshine
it wasn’t too bad, and everyone managed to stay upright.
We had a few last minute injuries and one DNF we had fewer
people than expected, but still had 4 to score. We finished 35 out of 63, so
roughly mid way in the teams.
Jennie had a superb run and finished well in the top 50,
so congratulations to her. Sadly Bryony had to pull out part way round, but
hopefully will recover in good time for the road relays. Making up the rest of
team were Sarah, at her first English Nationals, as she has competed up in
Scotland, where 9mm spikes suffice!, followed by Kate and Carolyna. Thanks for
all the support on the day, even if we did have more on the sidelines than
actually running!!
