Club Awards Event, Bromley Great Hall, Sunday 18th
November
Our Young Athletes, parents, team managers, coaches
and other supporters enjoyed an excellent evening at the club awards event
at Bromley Great Hall.
Plenty of medals and awards were given out. It was a
busy evening with about 150 people attending the event. Many thanks to the
Parents Council for their role in organising it and many thanks to all the
sponsors (Biggin Hill, Up and Running and Jack Petchey Award winners).
Thanks also to the following - Nick Brooks for doing
another superb job as the Master of Ceremonies, Roy Dickens for providing
some fantastic raffle prizes from Sony (resulting in an energetic raffle
with plenty of attendees going home very pleased with their prizes), Nic
Corry for stepping in and proving the music for the event and Jay Galley for
the slide show.
We would especially like to thank our guest speakers
for their inspirational talks, the fabulous Serita Solomon (European Indoor
60mH Bronze medallist and World Indoor finalist) for an and to Jonathan
Illori (current England Senior Triple Jump Champion who also picked up a
Senior Honours Award for his recent achievements, especially good for our
young athletes to witness that.
