Supper 20 December 2017
This reads like last year and the year
before and the previous years....
The Annual Wednesday Nighters Christmas Supper was held on 20 December 2017. We had
60 members dining - the noise was not quite as deafening
as in the past and the whole thing was more refined and still everyone enjoyed themselves,
again.
Gerry, Tuckers and Drew did a fine job pulling it all together, and everyone
sung with gusto.
As in the past, before
we sat down, about 25 trained athletes ran to 'Apples' for the now
traditional punch & mince pies along with a few carols - this certainly set
the scene for the night. The beer & wine flowed, everyone seem to enjoy the
traditional Christmas Dinner, the raffle was well supported raising over £400,
Jason Short was the winner of the 'biggie' 300 club draw - the last few left at
gone one o'clock, no they didn't drive...
