Rows a Marathon in aid of Cancer
So many of us have been touched by cancer and there is
clearly so much that we can do. I am rowing a marathon on a rowing machine
on Friday 21st October, probably a stupid idea yes..... I can definitely
think of better ways to spend (hopefully only) 3 hours but in the end it is
for a good cause. Please donate if you can.

and Triathle Championships, Parque di Albarquel, Setubal, Portugal
Morgan Squibb finished 2nd in the Under 15 European
Biathle Championships in Setubal, Portugal
last weekend.
On the first day she finished sixth in her heat to
qualify for the final the following day in the event which consists of an
800m run (on road), then transition into the sea for a 100m swim followed by
a further transition and another 800m run (on road).
In the final she finished second six seconds behind
the winner also from GB, and the podium was completed by a third GB runner
so GB won the team gold.
As a result she is likely to be selected for the World
Championships which take place in Florida, USA in October. She has a further
year in the same age-group.
I haven't found any official results anywhere but the
GB team is coordinated by the GB Pentatlon Organisation.
